ABOUT US
Our first Saluki, Ba'Shiima al Noushafarin, was born in February 2011 and started to live with us in May 2011. After this young and very dynamic lady came into our home we had the feeling that nevertheless she enjoys being with us, she misses a companion. So we started to think of "having a sister for her". The fact that another Saluki litter, living close to us, was born in July 2011 gave us the chance to meet puppies and to see Shiima's reaction meeting them. As expected Shiima was over the moon and during this day a very special young red girl, Leyla of Falconers Dream, managed to capture our hearts and therefore started being part of our small family in October 2011.
From that time onwards we started to learn more about Salukis and the Sighthound community in Austria. We spent some time at race track training, attended the first lure coursing trainings and also participated in a few dog shows Austria. It was always a pleasure to stay in contact with the breeders and to have a chance to meet other Sighthound owners but during the next several years we did not think of getting ambitious participating in any competions. Also mainly due to time constraints we did not even manage to obtain the coursing or racing license.
Leyla's breeder did not stop to push us and so we made the race & coursing license with Leyla of Falconers Dream in June 2015. Thereafter we participated in some competitionsm without any major results at the very beginning. However participating in competitions was more exciting than doing trainings only on one hand and on the other hand job changes led to the fact of having more time for this new hobby. So we continued attending coursing events and we will never forget the first CACIL Coursing that she won in March 2016.
